Tesla Model X: Diffuser Panel - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Remove both reflex lamps (refer to procedure).
2. On each side of the diffuser, release the parking sensors (x2) from the brackets on the diffuser.

    

3. On each side of the diffuser, remove the bolts (x2) that secure the fascia to the diffuser (torque 3 Nm).

    

4. On each side of the diffuser, use a plastic trim tool to release the clips (x4) that secure the diffuser to the fascia.

    

5. Rotate the assembly so that the fascia faces down, then use a plastic trim tool to release the clips (x13) that secure the diffuser to the fascia.

    

6. Remove the diffuser from the fascia.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Caution: Replace any broken clips.

Transfer the reflex lamps to the new diffuser.
