- Remove the LH rear wheel (refer to procedure).
- Raise the vehicle, and then remove the LH rear wheel (torque 175 Nm).
- Remove and discard the LH rear axle nut (torque 245 Nm).
- Remove the LH rear park brake caliper (refer to procedure).
- Release the bolts that secure the rear brake caliper to the
knuckle (torque 120 Nm).
- Use the S-hook to support the rear brake caliper.
- Remove the bolt that secures the brake rotor to the hub, and
then remove the brake rotor from the vehicle (torque 17 Nm).
- Remove the bolt and nut that secure the air spring module to the
knuckle (torque 140 Nm).
- Remove the bolt and nut that secure the toe link to the knuckle
(torque 130 Nm).
- Remove the bolt that secures the LH rear ABS wheel speed sensor.
- Remove the bolt and nut that secure the upper suspension link to
the knuckle (torque 140 Nm).
- Remove the front bolt and nut that secure the lower control arm
to the knuckle (torque 130 Nm)
- Remove the rear bolt and nut that secure the lower control arm
to the knuckle, and then remove the knuckle assembly from the
vehicle (torque 200 Nm).
Caution: Ensure that the bolts that secure the arms to the knuckle are inserted towards the front of the vehicle; the head of the bolt faces the rear of the vehicle and the nut is tightened at the front.
Caution: Only fully tighten suspension nuts and bolts when the vehicle is on a 4-post lift and the suspension is in the ride height position. Perform a four wheel alignment check (refer to procedure)
