Tesla Model X: Link - Sway Bar - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Warning: If the vehicle has air suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before raising and supporting the vehicle. Removal

1. Loosen the front LH lug nuts (x5) (torque 175 Nm).
2. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure).
3. Remove the road wheel (refer to procedure).
4. Remove and discard the nut that secures the link to the knuckle (torque 70 Nm). Caution: To prevent ball joint damage, always hold the ball joint pin with a wrench while loosening or tightening the lock nut.
5. Remove and discard the nut that secures the link to the sway bar (torque 70 Nm).

   Caution: To prevent ball joint damage, always hold the ball joint pin with a wrench while loosening or tightening the lock nut.

   

6. Remove the sway bar link from the vehicle.

   

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

Caution: Replace all nylon-insert locknuts.

Sway Bar - Front (Remove and Replace)

1. Remove the front subframe from the vehicle (refer to procedure).
2. Remove the sway bar from the front subframe

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
