Tesla Model X: Module - Front Body Controller - BCM (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model X 2015-2024 Service Manual / Electrical / Module - Front Body Controller - BCM (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the ECU box from the vehicle (refer to procedure).
  2. Release the screws (x2) that secures the bracket inside the ECU box (torque 2.5 Nm).

  3. Remove the active air suspension ECU.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Use Toolbox to update or redeploy the firmware:
  • If the vehicle is not running the latest firmware, run the "Vehicle Firmware Update" procedure.
  • If the vehicle is running the latest firmware, run the "Firmware Redeploy" procedure.
