Tesla Model X: Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Remove the wiper arms (refer to procedure).
2. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons (refer to procedure).
3. Disconnect the washer hose from the nipple on the LH side of the vehicle.

    

4. On both sides of the vehicle, remove the push pin that secures the hood hinge cover. Pull the hood hinge covers towards the rear of the vehicle and maneuver them around the hood hinges to remove them from the vehicle.

    

5. Remove the push pins (x5) that secure the cowl screen, but do not fully remove the cowl screen at this time.

    

6. Lift up the front of the cowl screen and release the drain hose.

    

7. Remove the cowl screen from the vehicle.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Caution: Replace any broken clips.
