Tesla Model X: Skid Bar - Front Subframe (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Remove the front aero shield (refer to procedure).
2. Remove and discard the bolts (x4) that secure the skid bar to the front subframe (torque 10 Nm). Note: Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.

    

3. Remove the skid bar from the vehicle.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following: Caution: Replace all Patchbolt(s).

Bash Plate - Front - Extrusion (Remove and Replace)

1. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure).
2. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that secure the bash plate extrusion to the front subframe (10 Nm).

    

3. Remove the bash plate extrusion.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Caution: Replace all Patchbolt(s).
