Tesla Model X: Trim - Liftgate - Middle (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model X 2015-2024 Service Manual / Interior Trim / Trim - Liftgate - Middle (Remove and Replace)

Remove

Remove the lower liftgate trim (refer to procedure).
Remove the push clips (x4) that secure the bottom of the middle liftgate trim to the liftgate.
Remove the liftgate pull cup from the liftgate.
Remove the liftgate speaker grille (refer to procedure).
Starting from the top, release the heart flex clips that secure the middle liftgate trim to the liftgate. Caution: Take care not to damage component(s). Caution: Replace any broken clips.
Support the middle liftgate trim and disconnect the electrical connector for the interior lamp.
Remove the middle liftgate trim from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Transfer the NVH pad to the new middle liftgate trim.

Adjusting Second Row Seats (Monopost)

A Model X equipped with monopost seats can accommodate two passengers in the second row. To adjust the position of these seats, use the manual adjustments. Use the button near the top of the seat to move the seat back forward/backward. Use the L-shaped button at the bottom of the seat to move

Liftgate Drain - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal Remove the active spoiler assembly (refer to procedure). Remove the active spoiler hinge (refer to procedure). Release the push clip that secures the drain funnel to the liftgate. Release the drain hose grommet from the liftgate.
