Remove

Remove the headlamp (refer to procedure).

Caution: Note the routing of the harness through the headlamp bracket. Ensure that is routed correctly during reinstallation.

Release the positive and negative wires from the horn.
Release the fir tree clip that secures the harness to the headlamp bracket.
Release the harness from the crash sensor.
Release the clip that secures the headlamp harness to the headlamp bracket.
Move the harness out of the way of the headlamp bracket.
Release the bolts that secure the headlamp carrier to the underhood crossmember (torque 7 Nm).
Release the bolts and washers that secure the headlamp carrier (torque 7 Nm).
Release the push clip that secures the headlamp bracket to the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Replace any shims between the carrier and fender.
Transfer the horn to the new bracket.
Transfer the crash sensor to the new bracket.

Removal Release the clips (x4) that secure the speaker grille to the door trim panel. Tip: Open the rear door to a comfortable working height for better access. Remove the speaker grille from the vehicle.
