Special tool(s) required for this procedure:

1072058-00-A | 13 mm x 1/4" hex bit adapter |
- Remove the HEPA filter housing (refer to procedure).
- Remove the front skid plate (refer to procedure).
- Release the acoustic cover from the front drive unit to gain access to the drain plug. Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
- Prepare a drain container and a small piece of cardboard or other flexible material to funnel drained fluid into the drain container. Note: Ensure that the drain container is able to hold at least 2 liters of fluid.
- Use a 13 mm ratcheting wrench and the 2 hex bit adapters to
remove the drain plug.
Note: Prevent the fluid from draining onto the
chiller.
- Clean and reinstall the drain plug (torque 28 Nm).
- Reinstall the following components:
- Acoustic cover
- Front skid plate
- Front aero shield
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the fill plug.
- Fill the drive unit with the correct amount of proper fluid:
- Use the fluid specified in General Information > Fluids and Capacities > Fluids.
- Use the amount specified in General Information > Fluids and Capacities > Fluid Capacities.
- Clean and reinstall the fill plug (torque 28 Nm).
- Reinstall the components that were removed for access.
