Tesla Model X: Headlight Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Remove the underhood storage unit (refer to procedure).
2. Remove the front fascia (refer to procedure).
3. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the base of the headlight to the bracket (torque 4.7 Nm).

   

4. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the top of the headlight to the bracket (torque 4.7 Nm).

   

5. Disconnect the harness from the rear of the headlight.

   

6. Remove the headlight from the vehicle. Place the headlight on a soft, clean surface.
7. Remove the inner bracket from the headlight (refer to procedure).
8. Remove the outer bracket from the headlight (refer to procedure).

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

1. Transfer the inner and outer brackets to the new headlight.
2. Adjust the headlight (refer to procedure).
