Drain
Warning: If the battery is suspected to have a coolant leak, do not perform this procedure. Contact Service Engineering for assistance.
- Remove the thumbnuts and washers from the coolant service fixture.
- Place the coolant service fixture over the coolant Rapid Mate.
- Install the washers and thumbnuts.
- Prepare the coolant drain tool:
- Close the valve.
- Connect a compressed air line to the drain tool.
- Connect the coolant service fixture fill hose to the drain
tool.

- Position the coolant service fixture drain hose into the coolant
waste reservoir, a bucket, or other appropriate used coolant
receptacle.

- Slowly open the valve on the drain tool. Note: The drain tool has a pressure regulator to prevent the HV battery from being overpressurized.
- Once approximately 2 gallons (7.5 liters) of coolant has been removed, close the valve on the drain tool, then remove the coolant service fixture from the HV battery.
