Removal

Remove the rear drive unit:
- Small drive unit: Refer to procedure.
- Large drive unit: Refer to procedure.
If the vehicle is equipped with air suspension, remove the bolt that secures the LH ride height sensor bracket to the subframe (torque 7 Nm). Remove the sensor and bracket.
Repeat the previous step to remove the RH ride height sensor and bracket.
Remove the rear sway bar (refer to procedure).
On each side of the subframe, release the bolt that secures the upper link to the subframe (torque 130 Nm).
On each side of the subframe, release the bolt that secures the toe link to the subframe (torque 80 Nm).
On each side of the subframe, release the nut that secures the lower control arm to the subframe (torque 115 Nm).
Release the harness clips (x11) from the subframe assembly.
Remove the rear subframe harness.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

Removal Remove the wiper motor assembly (refer to procedure). Release the push clips (x2) that secure the fuse box harness. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the wiper mount bracket to the crossmember (torque 20 Nm).

Shaft - Steering Column - Intermediate Lower (Remove and Replace)

Removal Ensure that the front wheels are pointed straight ahead. Lock the steering wheel in position. Remove the HV Battery (refer to procedure). Remove the bolt that secures the upper and lower intermediate shafts (torque X Nm).
