Tesla Model X: Switch - Rear Door - Door Mounted - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Remove the rear door closeout panel (refer to procedure).
2. Move the window regulator motor out of the working area.
3. Working from inside the door cavity, disconnect the electrical connector from the rear door switch.
4. While holding the white connector in place, loosen the plastic wing nut until the door switch is free. Remove the plastic wing nut from the door.

   Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).

    

5. Working from outside of the vehicle, remove the rear door switch.

    

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Note: The hole in the door is notched; ensure that the tab on the door switch aligns with the notch in the hole.
