Tesla Model X: Trim - Dash - Driver's Side - Lower (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Open the driver's door.
2. Move the steering wheel fully downwards and away from the instrument panel.
3. Remove the instrument panel side cover (refer to procedure).
4. Using a suitable tool, release the clips that secure the lower dash trim.

   Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).

    

5. Remove the lower dash trim from the vehicle.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Caution: Replace any broken clips. Restore the driver's setting to move the steering wheel back to the original location.

Trim - Dash - Driver's Side - Inner to Bezel (Remove and Replace)

Remove the driver's side inner face vent (refer to procedure).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

Assembly - Cover - Footwell - LH (Remove and Replace)

1. Remove the driver's side center console closeout extension (refer to procedure).
2. Release the clips (x2) that secure the footwell cover to the crosscar beam.
3. Disconnect the footwell lamp electrical connector.
4. Press the accelerator pedal down and release the footwell cover.
5. Remove the footwell cover from the vehicle.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following: Ensure that the floor duct is properly aligned.
