Tesla Model X 2015-2024 Service Manual / Exterior Fittings / Trim - Liftgate Trough - Lower (Remove and Replace)

Removal

Open the liftgate.
Carefully release the lower portion of the liftgate seal.
Use a trim tool to release the lower liftgate trough trim.
Note: Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.
Remove the lower liftgate trough trim from the vehicle.

Note: The liftgate trough trim cannot be reused. Discard the liftgate trough trim.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Note: Clean the affected areas before installation. Ensure that the liftgate trough trim is fully seated.

Inboard/Outboard Adjustment Note: The rear window is 4-way adjustable. Remove the rear door trim panel (refer to procedure). Loosen the nuts (x4) that secure the regulator to the door. On the affected corner, hold the nut with an open end

Module - Steering Column Control (Remove and Replace)

Removal Remove the steering wheel (refer to procedure). Note: Ensure that the wheels are in the straight ahead position before removing the steering wheel. Remove the driver's side lower dash trim (refer to procedure). Release the clips (x2
