Tesla Model X: Door Glass - Rear - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Open the LH rear door.
2. Remove the front upper rear door trim bracket (refer to procedure).
3. Remove the center rear door trim bracket (refer to procedure).
4. Remove the rear upper rear door trim bracket (refer to procedure).
5. Remove the middle rear door trim gap hider (refer to procedure).
6. Partially close the rear door.
7. Working from inside the vehicle, remove the nuts (x10) that secure the upper glass to the body (torque 6 Nm). Note: Move the harnesses out of the way for access as necessary.

   

8. Slightly push up on the glass; if necessary, release the clips that secure the seal.

   

9. On the front and rear of edges of the glass, disconnect the pinch sensor connectors.
10. Remove the upper rear door glass from the vehicle. Note: Record the positions of any shims.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Reinstall all shims in the original locations.
