Tesla Model X: Motor - Fan Assembly - Rear HVAC (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Remove the rear PTC heater (refer to procedure).
2. Remove the screw that secures the 12V harness bracket to the rear HVAC assembly (torque 1.2 Nm).

    

3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fan motor.

    

4. Remove the screws (x3) that secure the fan motor (torque 1.2 Nm).

    

5. Remove the fan motor from the rear HVAC assembly.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

• Clean the interior of the HVAC casing prior to assembly.
