Tesla Model X: Module - Rear Door Controller- LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Remove the rear door trim panel (refer to procedure).
2. Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the bottom of the rear door controller.

    

4. Remove the screws (x3) that secure the rear door controller to the door (torque 1.5 Nm).

    

5. Remove the rear door controller from the vehicle.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

1. In the Toolbox Tesla Body Controls Configuration panel, select the appropriate door controller and press the Play button:
   • Select "Driver Door Controller (DDM)" for the driver's side rear door.
   • Select "Passenger Door Controller (PDM)" for the passenger's side rear door.
2. Close the rear doors.
3. Update the vehicle firmware.

Note: The rear doors must be closed while performing the firmware update.
